You are invited to participate in a research study that evaluates the security properties of embedded browsers used in consumer devices (e.g., smart TVs, e-readers, gaming consoles).

Purpose of this Study
The aim of this study is to assess the security of integrated browsers, focusing on their update status and the completeness of their security policy implementations.
By participating, you will help us understand the risks users may face when using these browsers.
What Participation Involves
- You will use this website to run a series of automated, non-invasive tests on your device's integrated browser.
- The tests will evaluate browser security features and identify whether the browser engine is outdated.
- The process is fully automated and does not require any manual input beyond your consent and general device information.
Data Collection and Privacy
- No personally identifiable information (PII) or personal data as defined by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will be collected or stored.
- Only anonymized technical data about your integrated browser's security features and software version will be recorded.
- No data will be collected that could identify you or your device, such as your name, IP address, or device-specific identifiers.
- All data will be stored securely and used strictly for research purposes. Results may be published in aggregate form, but individual participating users will never be identifiable.
Risks and Benefits
- Risks: There are no anticipated risks associated with participating in this study. The tests are non-invasive and will not affect your device or browsing experience.
